True, of the "Warships" only examples of Class 42 were preserved. AIUI these were the least troublesome, so it's probably a good thing.

True, of the "Warships" only examples of Class 42 were preserved. AIUI these were the least troublesome, so it's probably a good thing.

Yes the Swindon built ’Warships’ were less troublesome and lasted longer than the NBL built Class 43s.

I must confess to a strong desire to see a preserved HST going along the GCR over the MML with a XC(?) or charter HST going beneath.

Won’t be any sort of HST in normal service, regretfully; XC lost theirs a while back. Just Scotrail and GWR’s down the far southwest, now!
