Such a link tunnel would still have to get under the deep basements of the British Library and Crick institute. I doubt it is going to be a practical solution.

Could it be bored under Brill Place? Would CR2 also have to be under Brill place for the same reason?

Some of the escalators could be shared if the barriers were at sub-surface level, which they would probably have to be as there's unlikely to be space on the surface.
