I was playing a bit of Train Sim World 2 recently on the Bakerloo Line, and it got me thinking: at stations like Elephant & Castle, where there are turnback sidings south of the station, how do drivers access them? Are there designated walking routes through the tunnels or do they just have to suck it up and hope they don't get fried? And how does it work for the turnback sidings in the Central Line core, for example, if a train is taken out of service there, does the driver wait to be picked up, or is there some secret way back onto safe, non-electrified ground?
