Hope Valley closed 27th Jan?

Am hoping to go to the City game away at Sheffield in the FA cup on Sunday 27th January, but all TPE and EMT services are coming up as bus operated on TrainLine...is the line closed?

Yes the line is closed.

I don't know whether it is valid but my journey planner is suggesting going via Leeds..

Hope Vally closed every sunday during January for various bits of maintanence (around Bamford and Chinley mainly).

that will be really bad for freightliner, loads of trains run into the cement works at bamford

Works are only a Sunday though, don't think there's anything scheduled then.
