Help! Someone using my address for vehicle ownership?

In writing. Be clear and reasonable. Including setting out your expectations that this must now stop. And set out the reasonable charges you will levy for time, post, phone calls and letters, and claiming for any other costs incurred, should you have to take further action due to their failure to update their records.

I was thinking of some recompense for time, hassle etc.. does anyone think this a possibility?

You could try but these aren't companies exactly known for their levels of customer service. In all honesty I'd just state your situation and leave it at that. I know its annoying but you might end up having them pestering you more.

If, having written and explained it's nothing to do with you, and they persist in sending threatening letters, would it be possible to report them to the police for 'demanding money with menaces' or whatever it could be called?

I've spoken to them - fairly simple, just got to send them some proof that I live there electronically - sounds straight forward enough. (he says)

Marston's have updated their records after I sent them proof, and I have confirmation of this.
