I would like to try these how could I do it via train as I heard they are in car park? What’s the best route from King’s Cross? How much do they cost?
You go to Heathrow Terminal 5 from Kings Cross by catching the Piccadilly Line direct, or the Elizabeth Line changing at Farringdon or Paddington.I would like to try these how could I do it via train as I heard they are in car park? What’s the best route from King’s Cross? How much do they cost?
What is Heathrow Pod Parking?
Fast transit to terminal
Heathrow Pod Parking allows you to get to and from Terminal 5 in a driverless, electric vehicle in just six minutes.
You can also use them to go to the T5 Thistle hotel which I can recommend as an experience. (The whole journey and convenience) You do get hit with a surcharge at the hotel reception thoughYou go to Heathrow Terminal 5 from Kings Cross by catching the Piccadilly Line direct, or the Elizabeth Line changing at Farringdon or Paddington.
Use of the pods is included in the price of the relevant car parking, which appears to be £53.10.

Technically, they should only be used by people parking in the relevant car parks, but there wasn't any obvious restriction on 'joyriding' them when I was there many years ago. Someone else would have to say if that had changed.

Using the Heathrow Pod is free of charge. However to go through the gate to get to or from the hotel it costs an extortionate rip off £7.00 Single or £14.00 Return just to simply walk though the gate. Using the Hotel Hoppa bus costs an extortionate rip off £6.80 Single or £12.00 Return so only a tiny bit cheaper. Alternatively you can take the local frequent and quick TFL buses to and from the hotel for just £1.75 Single or £3.50 Return using Oyster or Contactless payment. Or if you prefer you can use the Heathrow Pod to and from the car park for free and then walk from the car park to the hotel the long way round to avoid the gate. This is about a fifteen minute walk but is free of charge.Any idea how much the surcharge is please?
I'm staying there in October and don't fancy the bus.

It's worth £7 imhoThanks for the reply. Looks like I'll stick to the TfL buses.
