Haslemere - Canary Wharf

Just moved to Haslemere, and I need to be in Canary Wharf for 0830 each day.

I am currently getting the 0702, which gets into Waterloo just before 8am so it gets me into work in good time.

The issue is that I am getting really ticked off with having to stand for an hour, not good really considering the annual ticket is almost 5k.

Any suggestions in terms of an alternative route?

Will things get any better if SWT lose the franchise in 2017?

Probably not, unless the new operator introduces additional haslemere starters you will be fighting with the south for those seats. Same with most other intermediate stations

Good luck with that. I did the "reverse" commute for 3 months, and SWT's reliability on that route was a joke. Get used to being kicked off trains at Guildford, and buses.

On a positive note, Bread Of Heaven is amazing, the Wetherspoons has friendly staff, and Haslemere is a lovely village (if a bit too posh for my taste)!

So you want to get to London the same time as everyone else on that route, easy answer is catch an earlier train!

SWT run the maximum number of maximum length trains on that route as possible so no things wont get any better.

Didn't you do any homework on the transport links before deciding on moving into prime London commuter territory?
