I must just say, that Carnforth being only a 10minute drive for me, and on my bus route, I do see it twice every schoolday. (and sometimes at weekends). To me, it is a very sad place. Unloved, uncared for.

Peter Beet (before his death recently) owned a good majority of the kit there, and was out like a shot when he saw what Smith was bringing in (aka...coaches, loads of them). Result was virtually all of Carnforths decent locos etc left.
