Someone I know is on 2C79 York-Harrogate-Leeds and is stuck at Poppleton. The train coming the other way hasn't left Hammerton yet. Is there a severe problem? Will their journey be cut short?

There's a problem with the level crossing at Hessay. 2C79 is on the move and will run fast from Harrogate to Leeds.

Northern Rail website is saying safety inspection of the track. Looks like the 2110 will skip some stops after Harrogate

21:10 York to Leeds due 22:21 will no longer call at Hornbeam Park, Pannal, Weeton, Headingley and Burley Park. It has been delayed at Poppleton and is now 23 minutes late. This is due to a safety inspection of the track.
