hey all. wondering if any of you, would like to help me code a hammersmith and city route from hammersmith to edgware road. if successful, i will extend it to Whitechappel, then upto barking. if anyone would like to help, it would be helpful, to get line speeds for the route, and build some extra objects, like BBC TV satellites, C2C trains, (maybe thats one for Rich (BVE Routes&Trains)), The Tracks around Padington, and other places on the line.
If you are interested, PM me and i will give you my e-mail so you can help me. cheers

I would gladly BETA test, though (like pedned) could probably not offer any help on the coding side.

You could be a BETA tester perhaps though?

I could BETA test, but i think i'll leave to people with more experience in coding.
Mainly becuase i wont be able to give any advice on the coding side of things.
But if you think I could still eb a help with BETA testing please put my name forward.

actually, thinking about it, I'm the same as pedned -- I have no knowledge of the coding, so maybe i shouldnt beta test either. It's up to you.

1 thing I think I should say: this is also mparsonz first time in coding. He hopes to pick it up as he goes along and gain experience.

Whats the point in even mentioning testers when the first piece of track hasn't even been laid?

Precisely. Also a lot of people who eagerly put their hands up to test as soon as something is announced won't actually be any help, they'll grab the route, play it, and never give any feedback.

I wouldn't be like that.

Im beta testing "class 313's" "37410 sound pack" for MSTS.
But giving feedback is hard to him, he has his profile set to not-allow any PM's.

If you go to his website his e-mail and MSN address is clearly displayed on the contact page.

I have a basic c2c Class 357 object, but I won't be providing that until I see some kind of route in place. You'll also want FGW stock for the paddington area...

yeh, that would be helpful, but i need to go to london soon, so i can get some pictures for my site, and at the same time, get some for the hammersmith and city line, the route wil start at Hamersmith and then i'll put it upto edgware road first, then i could extend it to whitechappel, then the final run upto barking. i've tried coding routes in my notepad, but unfortunately, i can't convert them from .txt to .csv format. if i was to send the coding to someone else, and then they, send it back to me, I could see how well it's been done. so if someone could do that, please PM me.

.txt to .csv format?

Are you saying you've coded stuff, but just can't get it from .txt to .csv?

Simple resolution.

In Windows Explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options, show all file extensions.

Then just rename your filename.txt to filename.csv ;)

In notepad, to save as .CSV, go file>saves as.
Change. TXT to all files .
Type the file name and add .CSV at the end of it
Screenie (this uses route files, but the procedure is the same as above)

due to some major problems with my family, i will not be able to make this route. sorry if your all disapointed. if anyone else would like to make the route, i'd love to join in by being a BETA tester, or to help, by getting stuff like linespeeds, gradients, pictures ect...

but i say again, i'm really sorry for this.

Can't be helped; happens to us all at some point or another!

It's not your fault mparsonz; don't feel sorry about it.
Could be worse, if you'd released screenies and stuff, there'd be a lot of hype..
