GWR Advance Changing Booked Trains Help Pleases

I booked Advance tickets for GWR trains in the old GWR app. I downloaded the ticket before the app changed. The website shows the fulfilment type as barcode. I would like to change my booked trains. I am happy I have to do this before the journey, pay any price difference and will be charged a fee.

I am struggling to work out how to change my advanced tickets. The GWR website is confusing me. In places I think I says I can go to any station. In other places I think it says I can change my tickets online. In other place I think it says I need to apply for a refund because I purchased before the app change. I thought these tickets were not refundable. I may be not understanding the GWR website.

Please could I ask for the help of this forum. How I can change the time of my train for GWR Advance tickets? These tickets were purchased in the old GWR app. All I have is an email and copy in my Apple wallet.

I seem to remember they said book new ones (same origin and destination) and apply to customer services for a refund of the old ones, but you may want to go to customer services to confirm that for certain to avoid the risk of being out of pocket.

Tickets bought on GWR.com or the GWR mobile app​

Online​

If you purchased your ticket before 23 February​

To change your ticket, please rebook a new ticket and then apply for a refund (an administration fee of £5 may apply).

If you need help give them a call on 0345 700 0125. They're open 6am to 10pm every day.

Thank you for the information and helping me navigate this. I will go ahead with confirming the cancelation approach, cancelling and rebooking. I think I was confused as advances are not refundable.
