Very likely the case.

There was a lack of advertising, the £1 fares were practically non-existent after a few weeks (and not due to selling out because some services didn't have any bookings on them so didn't run) and he added two towns to the calling points because people gave them a good case for stopping in their towns. I can't see National Express or Megabus doing that just because people tell them the demand might be there.

I remember that there was some debate about whether the company was genuine at the start, as evidenced by some posts at the beginning of this thread. That can't have helped, but essentially I think there just wasn't the custom to make the business viable.

Mine did, when I ceased trading!

Exactly. There are costs involved in getting it removed and even then search engines find cached results. Unless you can find a rival or partner company that wants to buy the domain off you it's not worth paying to change it. Incidentally I'm aware of a coach company that is about to do just that (not Gorilla Bus) but I can't say which coach company and which defunct company.

I should have also added the 24 hour timetable with a 4 hour frequency might well have been a failure. An hourly service could well be used for regular commuting, especially if the service was faster or the alternative is usually overcrowded but you're not going to arrive at work 3 hours early and wait around for 2 hours at the end of the day. I imagine the 24 hour service was down to serving Airports.
