Yes you can!

Most of Windows games can be virtualised in Crossover - a cheap little piece of software that can (and will) virtualise virtually anything.

If that doesn't work then all Intel based Mac's are capable of running a free utility called Bootcamp (which will be included as native as from the next version of Mac OS X) which allows you to run Windows XP or Vista natively on a Mac.

However - most Mac users will have purchased a Mac for the things they are good at, same with PCs really, Mac is brilliant for media editing or similar tasks compared to Windows based tasks. Windows for gaming as thats the key target market for developers due to its widespread use - if Mac use was widespread I'd be able to say you couldn't beat Mac for compatibility with software. However ... if we were talking hardware then you'll find you'll need to get drivers for the majority of hardware when it comes to Windows, with it being a far far different situation with any *nix based OS.

Oh - and before I go... Mac OS X doesn't require 256MB dedicated graphics RAM to make it run all its nice graphic features does it? Yet Windows Vista does .... ;)

Blah Blah Vista copied Mac blah blah. At the end of the day Windows is the dominant product in the market and you don't need to have two OSs and a different program to run games etc...

Which is the point I made in my post - if Mac was the dominant product the world would be very very different.

If EWS hadn't bought most of the freight companies when the network was privatised, the freight seen would be very different today.

If is a very big word ....

We wouldn't have any people pretending to be 'well in wiv it' because they have a Mac. You'd have a Windows PC, and you'd be flaunting that. :P

Explain in more detail please.

If Mac was dominant, you'd have all the same problems Windows would, because a majority of problems are caused by people creating them on purpose. Mac has just as many holes as Windows, if you know where to look, but because only a small percent of people use it, the hackers, or whatever you want to call them, don't bother.

And as for "Bootcamp, Parallels, Virtual PC, Crossover" etc, they are after all just different types of hacks! ;)

Fair point, fair point.

The point is though - if hackers really wanted to cause widespread anguish they should really aim for the servers which provide our internet access.

The share of Mac users on this particular site is actually steadily rising and is currently standing at 3% of total accesses (Windows has 94% with Vista being 11%).

None of the software I quoted is a "hack" either - it just allows MS programs to run by creating a virtual environment.
