I revived this email today can anyone give me any advice on how to respond
The email does not require a response. It tells you they will be in touch in due course.

I’m just wondering about whether northern have sent a response yet as the incident occurred in march however I’ve not heard anything from them I’ve informed them by email of my change of address twice once becuase I did incorrectly give them a different adress I could receive mail from unfortunately I’ve had to move a lot due to a slightly unstable home situation I’m just worried if they’ve actually made a not of the change of addresses each time. I unfortunately don’t think I would be able to afford to redirect mail from the two addresses

Realistically, all you can do is try and relax about it. Northern are still in time to get in touch with you, and most likely they will do.

If because of what has happened all of their attempts to contact you go wrong and they take you to court without you knowing, then there's still a way to resolve things then: it's called making a 'statutory declaration'. Everything has to be done quite quickly and it's a little tricky - but it is a way forward. So while it will be best if Northern manage to get hold of you in time, it won't be a disaster if they don't.

It might be worth getting in touch with them again to reconfirm your current address, and asking them to confirm back to you that they have updated their records

Would it be best to do this by email or by phone do you think ?
always in writing so by e-mail IMHO as you then have a track of what you sent if you ever need it. Needs to be to the relevant team - don't rely on customer services to pass it on. A phone call won't get through to the relevant team and no real proof of what happened / any action taken etc

I think its DRPU@ or some such for Northern.

What e-mail address do you have?

How would you suggest I lay out this email. I’m just a bit worried they might feel like I am harassing them about it but I just want to make sure it gets to the right destination

I’d change the last sentence to “please can you confirm receipt of this email and that you’ve updated your records” but otherwise anything like this should be fine

As long as you’ve sent all the relevant information to the correct email address, the Northern Prosecutions team will be in touch in due course. I understand your worry and the stress of this situation; however, it’s important to remain patient.

Once all journeys made with incorrect tickets have been investigated and flagged in their system, they will most likely provide you with a total for an out-of-court settlement, along with an administrative fee. Please note that each ticket may be charged at the full fare. If you wish to have any fares reduced, you would need to provide evidence of a valid railcard.

Wishing you all the best.

Hi All,
I just wanted to come on here and say I’ve received no further communication from northern trains so am unsure what to do I am slightly worried that the letter may have been delivered to the wrong address even though I have updated them with my details when they have changed and I have asked friends to check old residences however I am worried that inbetween them receiving my emails about my change of address the letter may have been delivered and now that I am back home I am unable to check whether a letter has been delivered. I really wish for this matter to be settled as it is causing me quite a lot of stress. They are still within the six months to prosecute I do understand too so would it be best if I email them asking if there has been any correspondence

It won't stop you worrying - but it's probably still best to just wait. If I've understood things properly, the incident was in the middle of March this year: you have sent Northern details of your proper address, and they have acknowledged receiving that. Which means that they still have time to write to you, and they should know your proper address.
