Was in Newcastle recently and went to see The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain in the Theatre and Opera House.
Definitely different, where else can you hear Pinball Wizard in the style of a sea shanty, the only item of the evening with no Ukeleles.

Last weekend, after finishing the Great North Run and getting something to eat I headed back into Newcastle to see the Rush tribute band Moving Pictures……no I didn’t run all the way from S. Shields before anyone asks…..

A fortnight ago we finally managed to see Weyesblood, AKA Natalie Mering at a late night Prom with a 10.15 start. Despite being at the highest seated point of The Albert Hall and the furthest from the stage, the sound quality was superb and her voice just wonderful. What an experience.
