Genius If You Can Help.... Train Things...

Hi,

I'm putting a 99.9% against 0.1% chance anyone can tell me this.

When my dad used to live with me and we first got a computer, we had this thing you'd click on and the screen would go black, and these pixelly graphic trains would come on. Like Transport Tycoon sort of graphics...

There'd be a station or level crossings and every 2 minutes or so a train would go by, like a TT-style graphics version of an Intercity 125 etc. I'd sit there for hours and watch it

Can anyone help?

It sounds like the computer was being put into test mode for a screensaver (control panel, select, preview)
Any idea what operating system was on the computer or roughly what year?

It is a screensaver I believe, I myself have watched it many times in the past, but I couldn't tell you where to get it.

I've had a little browse around and I think you are referring to a screensaver called 'Traffic'.

It is either Traffic or a similar one called, if I remember rightly, Railway32?

Yeah, the guy who made that also had another program called Rail3D which I still use.
