I would say that a laptop with a spec like that would work perfectly fine for both Train Simulator Classic and TSW3. Though if you can push your budget up just a little more to £1000, I would suggest this laptop:

The highlight of this laptop is having a 12th-gen Intel i7 processor. The 12th-gen Intel laptop processors, like their desktop counterparts, have special 'efficiency cores' ('e-cores') that help to lift the more basic processes away from the main performance cores such as operating system background tasks. This means that games can make full use of all the performance cores without the OS background processes bogging them down.

Comparing the CPU in the laptop in your link against the one in my link, there's around 25% more overall performance gained with the 12th-gen versus 11th-gen:

I would read some reviews to see the issues that get highlighted. If you are only going to use it when its plugged in, then you don't need to worry about the battery life. If you plug it into an external monitor, then you don't need to worry about the screen etc. If you want a high performance laptop, then it will generate heat, which either means the speed gets throttled, or cooling fans kick in. The high performance will also use power, which kills the battery life.

If you want a gaming laptop, a cheap way to do it is to find someone who likes playing the latest games, and buy their cast offs when they choose to upgrade.
