Future Escooter/Ebike reform

The current DfT have the trials and have been consulting about legalising escooters for a while now. A bill regulating them was in the queen's speech but other chaos superseded it and nothing came of it. Have Labour gave any hints about where they intend to go with the issue?

Wasn't anything in any of the manifestos as far as I'm aware. The trials are extended to 2026 which doesn't sound too promising for having legislation in place before then, although it might just be a placeholder date.
It makes a bit of a joke of our legislative system in my opinion, they're available for sale eveywhere and people riding them everywhere in towns yet the police can seize them arbitrarily as they're technically illegal in public places unless they're part of an official scheme.

This is from last year but claims the trials are being extended to 2026:

No mention of legislation on e-scooters in the King's Speech but trials will be extended to 2026.
