Hi,

have a free XC voucher due to incident/delay repay. have to book over phone with notice.

Not wanting to milk it for all its worth - what's the "best" long trip XC journey I could do. I HATE voyagers!

Base point Cambridge ... but could start elsewhere, paying for non XC bit as normal.

Haven't been to Durham or Berwick. but also thinking maybe Exeter, as I haven't been South West.

Deleted: Re-read the OP!

I would have said 1V60 08:20 Aberdeen to Penzance but you will love that length of time on a vomiter!

Maybe down to New street on a 170 and then over to Exeter/Plymouth on an HST.

Any other suggestions .... Avoiding all vomiters please! Cam someone list their non vomiter routes please. Don't mind 170s

I'm assuming that I can't purchase an open return (thus BOJ), and they have to be booked singles?

What does this "voucher" entitle you to? A return journey anywhere? Same day? Different days? Do they have to be booked and exchanged for tickets in advance? Can you go on the same day?

XC 170 routes are Nottingham - Cardiff and Stansted - Birmingham. HSTs operate to certain diagrams only over the core but all these are subject to last-minute alterations.

I am unable to advise further without further information regarding your ticket.

If you don't know then you may want to upload a scan of the "voucher" so others may be able to help you.
