I’ve found multiple Northern rail complimentary travel passes on the floor! They’ve got someone else’s name on but the other boxes are empty will I be able to use them or will they check my ID? Thanks!
You should return the pass to a ticket office and not use them. These are someone else’s tickets and by taking them and using them you are committing an offence.
Do not use them. Doing so could be considered to be fraudulent (making a representation that you are the person they are issued to for the purpose of your own financial gain.)
If you are feeling particularly generous you could put them in an envelope and address it to FREEPOST NORTHERN RAILWAY with a brief note saying found at the train station can you return to rightfull owner? The customer relations department would probably look up the claimants details and post them onto them.
As has been stated they must only be used by the named person, anyone else using them is doing so in contravention to the T&Cs and liable to come to grief. Particularly if they're doing so by trying to pretend they're someone else. Return them to a Northern ticket office or post them back to the Northern is the only correct course of action here (or bin them I suppose).
As such this thread is locked as there is nothing else to be done.
