Fort William Station Left Luggage

Hi, please can anyone confirm the following regarding the Left Luggage facility at Fort William station:

- Does it still exist?
- Is access to it 24/7, ie it's not in a part of the station that is locked overnight at all?
- How is payment handled, is it self-service, do you need to find a member or staff to arrange it, is it card payment or cash and if so are coins or notes accepted and how much does it cost?

The reason for this is we are staying in a hotel the night before climbing Ben Nevis and we need to drop our heavier luggage off very early in the morning while we do the climb and then pick it up again before boarding the sleeper train home.

There is no access when the station is closed. Which used to be a right pain when there was no Sunday morning train but there was a bus.

Yeah, that could be an issue for us as we are doing the hike from Sunrise on the August bank holiday Sunday I will speak to the hotel and see if they do left luggage instead

Hotels generally used to offer this service. Travelodge at Fort William certainly did.

During the pandemic however, most stopped doing so, and have proved remarkably slow to reinstate it.

It seems bizarre to me as, contrary to initial concerns, the chances of catching COVID off an item of luggage must be incredibly small - especially compared to the many other interactions staff are bound to have with guests.
