First Class On East Midlands Trains

Hi all I am looking at doing a Nottingham - London St Pancras journey first class travelling on the 19:32pm from Nottingham on a Friday, on this service is it still possible to purchase hot meals?

This menu displays one of the things I really hate about menus, namely describing things as:

Deliciously filling porridge.
Tasty toasted sandwich.
Delicious Cold Pie

I'll be the judge of that.

Oh and Prime pork sausage. Bet it isn't. To be fair it doesn't look that bad - been a while since I've bought food on a train.

The other pet hate with menus; pubs that describe salad as something like "leaves", and chips as "frites".

Personally, I wouldn't mind if they did. I'd rather they feel comfortable with getting feedback than either not bothering or, if it's quiet, forgetting about you and going and doing something else.

I haven't had the opportunity recently but EMT food has always been good quality and value, with the demise of FGW travelling chef service it is probably the best on board catering remaining on regular trains. Certainly was far superior to the offerings on EC and VT.

As for the moans on this thread; I'd hate to see the reactions you would have to real problems.

Real problems I'd probably deal with pragmatically and sensibly. Trivial problems get a whingy post on a forum.
