Fire at Glasgow Central (08/03/26)

According to ASLEF the fire was actually at Glasgow Queen Street and will mean trains to Edinburgh will be disrupted for weeks.

So says their new General Secretary in the latest version of the drivers union monthly magazine, the Journal.

You would think a rail union General Secretary would know his job and the impact on his members better than most.

Hope his members’ route knowledge is rather better!

I would have asked if anyone has pointed this glaring error out to them at any point in the near 4 weeks since the fire, but obviously not.

A rather amateurish mistake to make in all honesty, epsecially considering the impact this fire has had on his members.
