Someone i know asked me about this, but i wasn't too sure. Can anyone tell me what is likely to happen with the FGW services which run between Reading & London paddington during the early hours of the morning once the local lines are taken over by crossrail?

For example will there still be a local service from Reading to London Paddington at 01:10 & 02:24 and if so who will operate them.

Also anyone know who is likely to have the class 360 emu's which are operated by Heathrow connect once crossrail starts?

The 360s will go to whoever wants to buy them / whoever BAA wants to sell them to, as they are owned by BAA / HEx.

Seems a bit early to anticipate what the extremities of the timetable will be, when the tracks for Crossrail through haven't been laid yet.

What you probably need is a 24hr timetable plan for the period after Crossrail starts.

Luckily, this is exactly what I just found on NR's website under Track Access options.

Schedule 1 - page 17 - Crossrail services
Schedule 2 - page 38 - Other passenger services
Schedule 3 - page 45 - Freight

I think the two services you might be after are the 2P02 and 2P04 on page 38, but in any case it shows that there would still be 165s running between Reading and Paddington overnight.
