I have said this 1 and I will say it again, especaily for Seth. MK2 Brakes are too loud!!!!!!

Well next time you're on the sleeper, I suggest you fork out the extra few quid to travel in a non-Cattle Class Mk3 berth. That way you'll have no reason to complain about the finest coaching stock ever built, the Mk2.

Mark 2s are really good coaches. About 200 are currently rotting away in sidings and MoD sites around the country. The Mark 2A design is quite good, but basically a "plastic Mark 1."

Ex Virgin Mark 2s are extreemly cheap to run, are very basic etc.

Why the brackets for 66s?

On the subject of Mk2s, I must admit I do like some of the Ex-Virgin ones in use with Arriva Trains Wales, with the re-upholstured seats, perfect window/seat alignment and that mega luggage rack in the middle of the coach.

I couldn't agree more with you joy54. Mk2's are good coaches, but I still don't think that it's the best built coaching stock built by B.R. Sorry, but I think Mk3's are better!

Ok, so theyre shed shaped, quiet (the ones with working silencers anyway! (Thnaks EWS!! ) and there overrunning the network, but they are still decent locos with some character!!
