Pretty nasty incident just outside Faversham tonight, overheard from staff at Victoria that fire extinguishers were thrown onto the track, and a service has potentially hit them.

This made me wonder, would the pressurised extinguisher cause any damage to the infrastructure, and would this require a specialist clean up? And also can anyone remember another incident where this has happened? Many items are of course thrown onto the tracks but I’ve never heard of multiple fire extinguishers!

Depends on the type of extinguisher, water ones wouldn’t be a problem CO2 would go off like a bomb if pierced powder would make a mess
