We had someone do this on a chartered train for the national 3 peaks by rail. They boarded in London hoping to go all the way to Fort William. They were kicked off in Crewe, not sure if BTP met up with them.

I can understand some people being Dence, but to board a train, facing away from london, headed by a steam engine has to be the worse case i have ever heard of, I was a fireman on thte MHR, And one day we were just leaving Alton, when the guard dropped the handle, someone had boarded what they thought was the 1215 Alton to Waterloo, when it was the delayed, 11.57 Alresford they were told your trains at platform 2, and they somehow found themselves going though to our train, the only one on platform 3, as the one they wanted hadn't yet arrived,
