How Would You Start A Bus War In <Glasgow>?
Right now McGills buses seem to be going through the motions, particularly with the 23/x23 services to Erskine, increasing prices on the most used buses exponentially.

It makes a very good position for someone else to come in with competitively priced fares and nice vehicles.

Stagecoach have already had a pre-emptive steike with introducing £1 single tickets on the same corridor...

Doesn't it sound like the Pedigree runs up to 8 times an hour?

No, there's only 8 buses an hour on routes P and U combined. So this service is a less exciting every 15 minutes. With no evening or weekend service.

In Sheffield you'd ideally get some sort of loop service running up from Broomhill-Walkley-Crookesmoor-Western Bank-West Street-City Hall-Moorhead-Ecclesall Road-Ranmoor/Endcliffe-Broomhill as that's currently sort of met by the 10 which is an hourly service M-Sa operated by battered and abused Optare Solos.

Do a £1 student single, stick drivers on it who actually have people skills and you'll be onto a winner as the buses will certainly fill.

You'd probably need more than 15 buses to run a competitive frequency however.

Coming from a Broomhill resident who's sick of everything getting funnelled past the Hallamshire and Weston Park along with First drivers who seem to think it's obligatory to be as outwardly rude as possible
