Last couple of early mornings, seem to be extra 185 3 cars, on platforms 1 and 2. No movements shown on rtt. What is happening?

During the Huddersfield block the Scarborough to Manchester service's have been running as 6 car 185's and there also appears to be two 802's on the route instead of the normal one. The Hull services are terminating at Leeds so are running as 3 car 185's, the swap means there's maximum capacity between Leeds and Manchester as it's one service down.

Thankyou for that. Begs an interesting question....If there are 12 185 cars at Scarborough overnight, can 3 sets go into the TMD, as it was designed for 2 sets of 68+mk5?

There appears to be three 185's at Scarborough at night, two go to the TMD as separate moves with the third unit staying in the station. RTT shows the 0548 going to York only and 0648 running as a 3 car to York then coupling to the 0548 set and going forward to Manchester as a six car. The 0748 is formed of an arrival from Manchester which picks up the third set that's been at Scarborough overnight, after that it's six car 185's or 802's during the day until late evening when the doubles get split again.

Scarborough TMD is only a light servicing point - fuel, CET, Clean, Liquids and a little more. Northern don't use it as all their services go back to Hull (Most are 170s allocated to Hull BG).
