Afternoon everyone.

Assuming the ticket conditions for Advance Fares are set by the train operators rather than retailers, is there anyway you can book a new ticket for the same route (expecting the £10 charge of course) with a different retailer to the one you originally purchased through and still action the exchange?

I have booking made originally with Uber and I want to change it and other retailers - the TOC direct, this forum's site and also Trainline are all cheaper than UBER for the replacement Advance ticket on the same route....

I have asked Uber and they said you have to make the new purchase through the same retailer which makes sense but I thought I would ask here first if there is any way around this. Uber couldn't explain why they were more expensive...

Are you able to say what the journey is, and what the 2 different prices are? Would be interesting to see exactly which fares they aren't offering

Thanks - will try the station. I think I shall just avoid Uber in the future and stick with the TOC direct website / station or the forum's site!

Managed to get this sorted with UBER - evidently a glitch but good to get it sorted. Also they didn't charge me the £10pp exchange fee - not sure if that was a one off or a general thing though. A result never the less...
