Merseyrail may however produce their own local fares manual (I believe a predecessor of Southern did something similar) which would have a limited number of fares within the local area.

Southern did indeed issue their own version of the NFM which Thameslink RPI's also used whilst using SPORTIS. I still have a couple of them here, got too much crap!

Most TVMs I use regularly have these features anyway.

All the TVM's in this area have the facility to buy a ticket for tomorrow after 16:00 and also can issue 7 day season tickets. I also believe South Eastern machines may issue OTW seasons as well now.

Is this true? I believed the SPORTIS could only issue Day Rangers such as those below from my own collection.

SPORTIS could issue a wide range of rovers whcih were buried in a sub menu. Not used one for over 3 years now but they were definately in there somewhere!.

The S&B machines on SWT do 'tickets for tomorrow' after 1500, OTW, and they also do collection of online bookings which is also being increasingly used as an alternative to warrants.

However, you can't buy tickets to Middlesbrough, Bangor, Huddersfield, Inverness or quite a few other large towns.
