Travelling on the Eurostar and upgraded to the standard plus seating, but wanted to get your views on the best seating for 2 people.

Have you found the airline seating or table seats for 2 to be best?

For airline, are there any seats in particular that have the best window view? (Will be on it 4 hours so don’t want a pillar!)

For 2 people, I'd choose a face to face table, no contest. There's much more room than side by side.

Seat61 has seat maps https://www.seat61.com/european-train-seating-plans.htm
And if you're looking for face to face tables (on an e320), the clue to Seat61's recommendation is in the name!

But seriously, there are pros and cons to each kind of seating. My partner and I don't travel first class very often so we usually jump at the chance of a table to ourselves, but I suppose some might prefer to not be kicking each other the entire time.

Most importantly I tend spend a while whenever booking Eurostar looking at the seat plan in the booking tool, making sure I've got seats that line up with a window as much as possible. I find their window placement quite annoying.

After booking on the Eurostar site if you click the option to change seats, there is a box on the right with information about any window seat that you select which says something like 'restricted view' or 'partially restricted view' which you can use to avoid awkwardly placed windows.

I also find that they always initially give me rearward facing seats which I want to change.
