Just been having a big turn out and I find I have a Eurostar Timetable and fares leaflet valid "From 14th November 1994".

Eurostar Discovery Timetable shows trains from London to Paris Monday to Friday at 08:23 and 15:53 and 17:23 on Sunday - no trains on Saturday!
London to Brussels at 10:23 and 16:23 M-F and 16:23 Sunday and London to Lille 16:23 M-F and 16:23 Sunday.

There are five categories of prices - Discovery Gold which is 1st Class, Discovery and Discovery Special both 2nd and 1st and 2nd Class child fares. Discovery Special shows NO under Exchanges, the rest show Yes.

Prices London-Paris/Paris-London for each class are £97.50 single, £195 return, £77.50 single, £155 return, £47.50 single. £95 return and the child fares £48.75 and £97.50 and £38.75 and £77.50.

The London - Brussels and Brussels - London fares are the same.

London - Lille and vice versa fares are £83/£166, £66/£132, £40/£80 and the child fares £41.50/£83 and £33/£66.

I remember taking the service to and from Paris at Easter 1995, which is probably why I have the leaflet.

It's impressive to see how prices have litterally doubled compared to inflation

£325 for a BP single, compared to the £385 (inflation adjusted) return

Not only have fares doubled, I have an old leaflet where check in was shown as 10 minutes (1st class) or 20 minutes (standard).

But journey did take rather longer than today with the slow crawl around south London

I went on Eurostar every year from 1995 to 2019. I remember the 20 minute check in. For the return journey from Brussels, I had no qualms about getting to Brussel Zuid as little as 30 minutes before departure. No real time info then either. Only an all line paper timetable and printed boards at the stations.
