Isn't 901 meant to be in a different pool compared with the other ROG 37s hence why it may be doing different work in comparison?

The ROG 37s are listed on WNXX as in the GROG pool whereas 37901 is in EPUK, 901 worked 1216 0Z37 Leicester LIP to Peak Forest Cemex Sidings today as expected

It’s a ’heavyweight’ 37; other than the different engine and GEC (rather than Brush) electronics, operationally it’s no different to ROG’s other 37/7s.

ROG use 37800, which also has the GEC alternator setup.

Not up to date on it since 37901 did a test run with a ROG 37 - maybe Leicester-Barrow Hill and back, but I thought it ended up at Barrow Hill for further fettling.
However, IIRC the Europhoenix 37s used by ROG are maintained at Derby these days, so maybe 37901 is on the RTC

37901 went from Leicester Loco Inspection Point to Peak Forest RMC Sidings today (05/10/2023) as light loco.
