Euro freight timetables?

Hi all,
Are there any experts in euro freight timetables particularly DB and Fret SNCF?

Ideally I'd love to find something like realtimetrains, but failing that unlikely possibility can anyone point me in the direction of working timetables or even just info on major freight flows?

Or anything else that's just of info related to european railways really, I'm more interested in infrastructure, photos and timetables than anything.

I'm not aware of anything like www.realtimetrains.de , but there are plenty of freight hotspots - I was in Bremen last year, and there was a freight through every 5-10 minutes. Koln Sud also had a reasonable amount of activity when I was there several years ago. I'm also told that Lehrte (near Hannover) is a very busy spot for freight activity.

I'm sure i've read there are either WTT or freight summary simplifiers online for some of the hotspots in Germany, probably on drehscheibe forum which often goggle translates fairly well. Couldn't give any further directions though.

Afraid apart from occasionally pointing camera when a freight train happens to turn up the only place I've ever made notes on freight movements is in Bulgaria, which is a long way from DB!

If you mean 'general things' by photos, knock yourself out on railfaneurope. Pretty much anything and everything on there!

For the freight on the Loetchberg/Simplon axis look at http://www.bahnonline.ch/wp/124/gueterverkehrsfahrplan-loetschberg-simplon.htm There you'll find two XL files and one PDF file which you can download. Origin and destination are given with a table of which days are scheduled to run.

Thanks for that themiller, v. interesting - am I right in thinking Metz is the main yard in france?

Don't suppose anyone has any ideas about Northwest France? I probably wont have time to get too far south.

I don't know about it being the main yard but take a look at http://www.corridor4.eu and you'll see that it's on a main international route.
