Hi all,
I've recently found out about the urgent and non-urgent TOPs requests threads. I've been using the urgent one primarily, as I often plan trainspotting only a couple of hours in advance. Have I been using the urgent thread too much, and what constitutes as urgent vs non-urgent? Thanks

I've always used the rule of thumb that, broadly, Urgent is for trains you haven't seen yet, and Non-Urgent is for trains you have seen but missed the number of. Either way, I don't think you need to worry too much - I'm sure you won't be jumped upon for occasionally posting in the wrong section; we're a decent bunch on here, I think :)

I would add on etiquette, that thanking the person who has access to the info and shares it Is no.1. It’s not a dig at anyone, but if these folk have taken the time to help me out, they are hero’s in my mind!

Agreed! Saying thank you is showing appreciation for the effort the member has taken to find the information you want!
