At Bridlington there's an emergency speed restriction for a mile or more northwards to Sewerby.
It's along an embankment through the town, presumably some form of cyclic top problem.

Yes....I noticed that when I travelled from Scarborough to Bridlington last month. I wondered if it had been caused by an embankment shrinkage problem similar to that on the Salisbury-Exeter line a few months ago following the long, dry Summer.

Its been like this for a while (1 month at least) Sis-In-Law visited Saturday from Hull and commented on it, she said 'it seems to take even longer now'. No one locally seems to know what the exact problem is.
