EMR weekend reservations?

Looking to travel Nottingham to London on Saturday 17th and back on the Sunday. The trains I chose were stated to be "sit anywhere except First Class" which I assume is their text for counted places. Have EMR thrown in the towel on weekend reservations or did I just pick two trains that have them suspended as they might be 810s?

If I can't get reservations at around the times I selected I'll probably drive instead.
