Hi everyone,
Thought this was the most appropriate place to pose this question but just never seemed to have encountered this problem haha.
Recently bought an advance ticket from Derby to Market Harborough for this Saturday (18/4) which usually requires a 10 minute connection at Leicester however the 16.09 train i've booked has an itinerary of arriving at Leicester slightly later than usual for 16.39 but waiting at Leicester until 17.43 when there is an earlier connecting train leaving at 16.43.
I can maybe see the reasoning behind it as it's a tighter connection than usual but as the connection is usually made at the same platform 3 I've arrived at it should be achievable as that connecting train that originally left Nottingham at 16.12 will be trailing behind my original 16.09 train from Derby. Obviously this is all reliant on the 16.09 leaving on time from Derby.
I have not reserved a seat on any of my legs so is it possible to take that earlier connection than the one listed on my tickets itinerary?
