I've seen quite a few local businesses with web addresses on their vans, but gmail email addresses. It could be worse - it could have been something like a btinternet.com address :)
For a long time a local bus company had their website address on their buses, with a btconnect.com email address right under it.

It just looks so amateur - you already have the domain name, bloody use it for your email too!

At least he had a website I guess, its even worse when its just a gmail or fsmail email address...

The British Darts Organisation used to invite email enquiries to a BTConnect email address for years...on their website at bdodarts.com

BT is, currently, keen for EE to be run at arms length (despite having relocated key staff from Hatfield and Paddington to St Pauls)

How ironic, they are relocating staff out of Hatfield to relocate staff into Hatfield...

On the subject of domain names, I have my own domain name which I issue out so when VirginMedia told me to migrate from a blueyonder.co.uk email address to a VirginMedia.com email address, I just had to change my email forwarder on my domain with no interruption to mails to my domain name

I doubt that will happen. BT has mobility as one of the key pillars of their future growth plans.
Yes, but BT invested very little when it owned Cellnet/O2. Hence why the network was so poor when 4G came along.

They probably just have a long lease to go. EE kept all high street stores going even when almost next door to another until the leases expired.

It's EE to London and BT coming out. Ocado has taken over a sizeable chunk too.
