Today I discovered that at one point that there was a 2 foot guage railway at Duxford airside, seemingly has been cut back and is no longer in use, can anyone fill in with future or history of the line?
I do know that at one point (when?) it carried passengers, some of the stock was moved to the ‘East Anglian Transport Museum’, (no idea what or where this is) and the motor rail simplexes are now in the land exhibit, photos attached. Also, seemingly used to be a link between the land war hangar and the line? Can anyone build on this?
Only date I’ve seen was that passenger services operated in 1992 according to this video:
