Hi All,

I hope this is the right place to post this!

I'm trying to find out if there is any freight still passing through Doncaster Station on weekdays, generally?

I haven't been across since they opened the 'north cord' last year, and whilst I'm considering a visit, it would be helpful to know if I'm likely to see anything now.

Hope someone can help.

Mark

Definetly worth a visit, a quick look at yesterdays (16th) freight shows 25 through the station between 07:00 and 19:00, so depending on how long you are willing to stay on the station could prove very worthwhile.

Take a look at the Realtime Trains website.
Go to detailed view, select freight only and put in a weekday date less than a week ago. This will give you a rough idea of what to expect. All the paths are shown, the ones with real timings showing are the ones that actually ran.

Thanks for all the input. The Realtime Trains site has given some very useful information, overall.

I change trains regularly at Doncaster and there is always freight trains passing through whilst I'm waiting for my connection.
