Discontinued TGV services

What ones are there? I know there’s the former Amsterdam to Marseille Thalys Solei service, which was a really interesting route. But I also have a picture from a 2003 copy of Railways Illustrated showing a TGV on a Paris to Antwerp service, which I’ve yet to see replicated.

If we are including Eurostar then i think we can also include the old Izy service between 2016 and 2022 going between Paris and Brussels on the normal classic lines. It used Eurostar stock. So it was technically a TGV service.

Oostende and Charleroi in Belgium had services to Paris for a time, as did Cambrai in France. I think we will see some further removals and concentration on the core routes - St. Dié and Remiremont are very marginal and 'political'. Rang du Fliers is a nonsense - it is just as quick to Paris on the classic main line via Amiens. Even Valenciennes, Béthune and Dunkerque have ben threatened with losing their TGV services.

Lille to Genève (and possibly Lausanne at some stage?). I travelled on it in April 2012 on the way to Italy.

Quite a few years earlier - after a ferry crossing from Newhaven to Dieppe in the mid-1980s - I travelled on a TGV from Rouen to Lyon via the Grande Ceinture. Does that service still run?

I'm convinced that I made a similar trip back in May 1988.

Overnight from Newhaven to Dieppe and I believe, my first TGV from Rouen to Montpellier before getting on the 'party train' aka Talgo to one of the border stops or Girona.

Although I was informed a few months back that TGVs never served said route so it may well have been a Winnie Mandela moment.

There is still a TGV Interconexion service from Le Havre to Marseille.

Those still operate, but as ex Thalys services to/from Amsterdam Centraal, Brussel Zuid and Lille Europe.

Either way, the proper Eurostars between London St Pancras and Bourg-Saint-Maurice services are indeed discontinued!

Speaking of Eurostar, there were also London to Marne-la-Vallée services.

Rang du Fliers is a nonsense - it is just as quick to Paris on the classic main line via Amiens.

It's operated in what would otherwise be an unproductive layover at Boulogne - and Etaples is a bit more significant than R-du-F.
