Difference between Class 385 and IET charger sockets

I've noticed that Apple iPhone and iPad touchscreens become unusable when the devices are plugged into the charging sockets on LNER/GWR Hitachi IETs (previously discussed here: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/iphone-touchscreens-on-class-800-801.186680/) However, no such issue appears when plugged into the sockets on ScotRail class 385s, also made by Hitachi.

Does anyone know why this issue only seems to occur on the IETs despite both the IETs and the 385s nominally being part of the same family of trains (Hitachi A-train) and manufactured around the same time?

I've had this issue with my OnePlus phone of various models over the years too.

I found that putting a powerbank between my phone and the socket resulted in the voltage to the phone being stable and not causing any issues, as long as your powerbank supports chargethrough.
