@zwk500 In the first case, it was about 25E but took so long setting off after getting the road, whilst still 15E held everything up - allowed out early into a gap, but seemingly taking forever - a mechanically unfit train.
The second one - a late running passenger train going first with another on time passenger train right behind it. The 60mph freight was coming off a branch also 10L. The reason given was "well, that freight is booked in-between those two (100mph+) passenger trains" - which again is a combination of poor regulation and an ageing, mechanically unfit freight train.
My point is, I get the feeling that a minority of freight operators consider path timings as either a guide, or optional. Freight has to run, but the penalties for any operator, passenger or freight blocking the job should be increased, and any loco, unit or set with a low MBF should temporarily be banned.
