Just a query about responsibility and different delay repay thresholds.
Arrived at Bristol Parkway (heading for Bath) when the next scheduled train was the 15.59. That should have enabled me to catch the 16.22 Portsmouth from Temple Meads, arriving in Bath at 16.34. However, the 15.59 was delayed, so the first train was the 16.17. The first onward train from Temple Meads (16.47) and the London delayed by 2 minutes so the arrival time at Bath was 17.13 (29 minutes late). As I understand it, as the 15.59 is XC I would have to put a claim in through them - however, their DR threshold is 30 minutes whereas GWR’s is 15. I know the claim would be for chicken-feed anyway, but can it really be right that on a shared route like this your eligibility is determined by who happens to operate the first in a sequence of trains?
