It would appear that a rogue bog has taken to attacking those who dare to use it!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/new...0767905/Scary-public-loo-drenches-locals.html

Women are "frightened" to use a town centre public lavatory because the door is likely to swing open while they are perched inside.

An automatic arm that reaches out when it flushes has already knocked one young woman off the toilet seat.

More than 400 people have signed a petition calling on the council to replace the button-operated lavatory in Woking, Surrey.

Let the, err... , toilet humour begin...!!:roll:

Such puerile lavatorial punning is clearly beneath us on this forum.
However, it did occur to me that this might make a good subject for a film - I, rogue bog.

Anyway, this is really not funny at all - would you be as amused if it happened to your cistern?

( Had to replace ours a couple of weeks ago as it happens - the tank split underneath; the floor is still drying out... )

Is it to much to ask in the 21st century that those who are responsible for the design and installation of new toilets make a decent jobbie it?

The loo is located next to football matches on nearby pitches, as well as dog walkers, anglers, Woking Model Yacht Club, a boot camp and the Charlotteville Rascals junior cycling club.
...wut?

As it is sometimes said that I am totally and utterly devoid of humour, the only dangerous bog that I recall was the one that was said to have claimed the life of one of the more reprehensible story characters at the end of the story called "The Hound of the Baskervilles"...

Bearing in mind the circumstances quoted in the original post

Women are "frightened" to use a town centre public lavatory because the door is likely to swing open while they are perched inside.

the most appropriate Sherlock Holmes story might be "A Study in Scarlet" though whether through embarrassment or rage it is difficult to tell. :D

That would be Grimpen Mire.

I'll collect my anorak on the way out. :D
