Out of interest, are HS1 signallers (And the Ashford control centre) separate from NR?

No, NR are contracted by HS1 to provide signalling and electrical control, and do so from the operating floor of Ashford IECC.

My guess is Pwllheli.

But I'll take a shot with either Aberystwyth or Pwllheli depending on exact Cambrian implementation dates.

No, Pwllheli was first. Harlech to Pwllheli was converted to ETCS as a first stage in 2010, then the rest of the Cambrian Lines followed in 2011.

Not sure Aberystwyth is "multi platform" - surely it is single platform as far as running lines are concerned and the rest is siding ?

Or, if sidings count, then Pwllheli is the same, one running line platform, the rest is sidings.

CTRL's control is from Ashford AFC (which I think means "Ashford Control Centre" but I could be wrong on that) - which is in the same building as the IECC but are a different department with separate managers and a separate room - so not quite the operating floor of. See this forum post for a bit more detail. Also when you get past Dollands Moor yard, signalling and electrical control passes to Eurotunnel RCC ("Route Control Centre"?).

I'm sure the CTRL facilities were in the same room when I visited on occasions in the early 2000s after the first section had opened. Maybe a separate room was established in 2007 when section two opened and an additional workstation was required.

In the thread linked in post #35, the following statement is made:

High Speed are in the same building - two Grade 8 workstations - but are operated autonomously...

That doesn't say explicitly they're not in the same 'room'. It's Graphitprojekt's assertion. ISTR the CTRL equipment was partitioned into a separate area on the operating floor. It seemed quiet and peaceful compared to the NR positions.
