Hi guys,

I know that following the takeover of the Croydon Tramlink by TfL from First they modified the red/white livery by adding branding the length of the tram reading something like "This bit.... this bit.... this bit of this tram is now TfL", but yesterday I *thought* I saw a green one with the green TfL 'Tram' roundel on it. It was dark though so it could just have been the modified red/white livery with TfL branding and my mind making me think it was green?

Just wondered if anyone could confirm whether or not any had received a new livery, and if so where one might be able to find a picture?

Thanks in advance!

As the link says, there is a new livery and seating moquette.

The tram stops are now being painted silver, with bits of green.

As an aside, First still drive and control the trams, and I assume that the track contractor is the same.
TfL bought out the consortium TCL that owned and operated the system.

I would hope that at some point TfL re-tendered the contracts. There were certainly some well paid London Trams jobs to do with maintenance being advertised online not that long ago - so big money is being spent!

Thanks Josh - proves I wasn't going mad afterall! I wonder if the feeder buses will follow suit? They don't comply with the London Buses livery guidelines now so could they possibly be repainted aswell?
No, the T31 passed to Arriva, which is fully red, T32 and T33 remain with Metrobus now, and the buses are red. I doubt it that they'll be repainted, would be breaking the "London Local service agreement/London Service Permit" if they did!

Oh right - didn't know if they came under the regulations as last time I saw them they were in the same red and white livery as the trams (was a while back, mind!). I think now operators are only permitted a coloured a skirt with colour-contrasting stripe, which is possibly why a lot who didn't already have such a livery (like London Central/General and Metroline) have opted to just go for all-over red?
