Llangollen applies for Corwen

The application by Llangollen Railway Trust for an Order under the Transport and Works Act 1992, in respect of the Corwen extension, was published in the public notices in the Welsh edition of the Daily Post of 14 August. A requires a copy of the application to be placed on local public display from 17 Sept in Corwen and Llangollen libraries and at Llangollen station, and otherwise will be on display on the LRs website. The notice will also be in the London Gazette.

Cant wait until the extension is open, good luck Llangollen railway! If only some lorry company hadnt claimed the station site before the railway.

Cant wait until the extension is open, good luck Llangollen railway! If only some lorry company hadnt claimed the station site before the railway.

The firm is Ifor Williams trailors,the largest agri trailor maker in Europe they also make the UKs best selling horse trailor.

The station site is their sales/parts/service dept, they employ 450 locals,so
one benefit, however the new station will be nearer the town centre,when built.
As tourists are now the mainstay in the area,it will get the go ahead.
